A Spectacle of Letters.
One puzzle. Every day. Endless satisfaction.
Our puzzles are a jumble of letters that fell out of a dictionary and landed in the wrong order. Hidden inside are two real words — three on Sundays — every single letter belongs somewhere, with nothing spare and nothing missing. Yes, we counted. Twice, actually. We're thorough like that.
Untangle the words, then find the Ingrain Word — a single word that pairs with each answer to form a compound word or phrase.
Think: FIRE fits with WORK and PLACE to make FIREWORK and FIREPLACE. That kind of thing. Once you see it, you can't unsee it. (That's the addictive part. Sorry in advance.)
Each week (Mon–Sun) also hides a secret category — one word linking all seven puzzles together. Guess it any day you like, but the answer drops on Sunday. Bragging rights go to the early birds. You know who you are.
Good news: anyone can jump straight in and crack the anagrams. No account, no email, no hoops. Just you vs. the letters. Go on — prove you're smarter than a pile of consonants.
But if you want the full experience — and honestly, this is where it gets properly addictive — create a free account and unlock:

Steps 3 & 4 unlock when you sign up — that's where the real fun begins.
The placeholder text in the word rows, the reset button label, the Ingrain Word input hint, and the snarky messages when you get it wrong — those are just us being funny (or trying to be). They are not clues. They rotate daily for variety. Don't read into them. Seriously. We've seen people try. It doesn't end well.
Every puzzle is a chance to score. Here's how the maths works:
Mon–Sat puzzle (up to 10 points per day)
Sunday XL (up to 15 points)
Secret category (up to 10 points for a Monday guess)
Perfect week = up to 85 points
Six Mon–Sat days at up to 10 each, one Sunday XL at up to 15, plus 10 for a Monday category guess = 85. If you hit that, we'll be impressed. We might even tell you.
Points and rankings require a free account — takes about ten seconds.
